Suddenly one of my group mates, who was crazy about the fashion shows that went on in the city, came waving some pamphlets that had been distributed, about an upcoming 'fashion show'; being students of a prestigious Fashion Designing Institute, it was least surprising. Everyone poured over the details the bright pieces of paper carried. As I reached home, I received a call from my buddying enthusiast, my closest friend yelling over the mouth piece



“Hey, I am sure, you are not gonna miss this one”?The question along with the tone was so genuine that for a moment, I had no words that supplied me with an answer..Always labeled as a 'tomboy' of the batch, I would be the last-person-on-earth, to ever participate in a beauty pageant. On top of all, like an icing on the cake, it was precisely the date of my birthday- the day was going to be a Friday the 13th.Wow!! what more could you ask for? All of them actually challenged me to the pageant, knowing my stubborn attitude of the don't-you-dare-me-to which I had fallen a prey. I managed to somehow learn a little of the so-called catwalk, in the dare-you-wear-me..stilettos, the daisy jewelry(In Danish margurit smykker) was a challenge for me as I literally went on a mad rampage, mixing the whatever-i-could-obtain, at the last minute from my neighbors, friends, my sisters; to add to it my closest buddy brought me one of her most ethnic-looking costume, the look of the gorgeous dress made me feel weak in the knees!!
